KNF Feeding Chart — Tropical Roots Maui
📋
All ratios are per liter of water (multiply by ~4 for per gallon). This chart assumes a standard 4-week veg and 8–9 week flower cycle. For detailed phase breakdowns, see the full KNF Feeding Schedule.

🌿 Feeding Chart

Growth Phase Weeks Primary Inputs Mixing Ratio (per Liter) Application Goal
🌱 Seedling 1 – 2 FPJ + OHN 1ml FPJ / 0.5ml OHN Root health & immunity.
🌿 Vegetative 3 – 4 FPJ + WCA + OHN 2ml FPJ / 1ml WCA / 1ml OHN Explosive foliage & thick stems.
🔄 Transition 5 – 6 WCA-P + WCA 1ml WCA-P / 1ml WCA Triggering flowers; stop FPJ.
🌸 Mid-Bloom 7 – 10 FFJ + WCA + OHN 2ml FFJ / 1ml WCA / 1ml OHN Resin production & bud density.
💎 Late Bloom 11 – 12 WCA + OHN 1ml WCA / 0.5ml OHN Structural integrity; pest defense.
🏁 Ripening Final Clean Water Clean finish & terpene focus.

🧪 Preparation & Usage Rules

The Mixing Order
1
Start with clean, dechlorinated water — let tap water sit for 24 hours, or use rainwater / catchment water.
2
Add OHN and WCA first to stabilize the water.
3
Add FPJ or FFJ last. The fermented juices go in after the water is stabilized.
☀️ Foliar Spraying

Best done in the early morning or when lights first turn on. Stop all foliar sprays by Week 3 or 4 of Bloom to prevent moisture from getting trapped inside dense buds.

🌺 Hawaiʻi Island Tip On the islands, stop foliar sprays even earlier — by Week 7 (Week 3 of bloom). Hawaiʻi's humidity means any moisture on buds takes longer to evaporate, creating perfect conditions for botrytis. Spray in the early morning before the sun is strong — never during midday island sun, which can burn wet leaves.
🫙 Storage

Store your finished inputs in glass jars in a cool, dark place. Do not refrigerate them — the microbes prefer room temperature to stay active. Label and date every batch.

🌺 Hawaiʻi Island Tip In Hawaiʻi's heat, store inputs in the coolest interior room — never in a hot garage or on the lānai. Fermented inputs can over-ferment or go off in direct tropical sun. Dark glass bottles (amber or cobalt) are ideal for protecting light-sensitive compounds.
🌺 Hawaiʻi Island Tip In Hawaiʻi's warmth, plants move through phases faster — seedlings may be ready for veg ratios by day 10, and the flush can be shortened to 7 days. Watch the plant, not the calendar. If growing outdoors, re-apply after heavy rains that flush nutrients through the pot. During Kona wind events, increase OHN frequency to twice weekly as a preventative against the mold pressure that spikes in hot, still, humid conditions.
🌿 The "TRM" Pro-Tip 🌿
"If the leaves are looking too dark green and waxy, back off the FPJ. If the stems feel soft or bendy, double your WCA dose for one watering. Listen to the plants — they'll tell you which bottle to reach for."
